Services

You're a busy person, you work hard, you have a family to take care of, and now it's time to take care of "you". More than anything, you want to walk into a room with a doctor who not only listens but truly hears you and addresses the cause to your concerns. You like natural remedies and supplements but want to understand their purpose: are they healing or are they Band-Aids? You're dedicated to your health and well being, to making changes, and you're ready for that next step. You're not sure quite where to start or who to see...you just know that you want more.

Is naturopathic medicine right for you?
Naturopathic medicine combines natural, non-toxic therapies with current advances in health and medicine. Naturopathic physicians are trained as primary care physicians to utilize a variety of natural therapeutics, adapted to each individual, with a focus on preventative and holistic care.

Naturopathic care includes a holistic approach to health care, understanding a person's individual experience with their symptoms, nutrition and lifestyle, mental and emotional well being. **Naturopathic physicians are trained to provide nutritional advice, vitamin and nutrient supplementation, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, botanical and herbal medicine, mind/body medicine, physical manipulation, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, as well as minor surgery.

**However, availability of these services varies state to state as not all states license naturopathic physicians at this time. For more information on naturopathic medicine within the state of Ohio, please visit:http://ohnda.org

What To Expect And Investment

What can I expect at my first visit?

Your Initial Appointment will last approximately 1-1.5 hours with a detailed discussion of your concerns including symptoms, previous medical history, social and lifestyle factors, as well as any medications or supplements you are currently taking. The overall length of the appointment is influenced by how complex the health picture is and what recommendations are to be made.

Specific recommendations are not discussed at the Initial Appointment as Dr. Watts believes that studying and understanding each individual case takes time and care. The Report of Findings appointment is scheduled within the following weeks to discuss Dr. Watts's recommendations.

A great deal of time will be spent discussing your health picture, concerns, as well as options. We take our "Doctor as Teacher" role quite seriously and enjoy educating individuals on their path to optimal health and wellness.

Dr. Watts asks that if you have any current labwork results to please bring them with you at the time of the initial appointment.

For your first visit please download and complete the forms provided under the First Visit Forms Tab. We look forward to meeting you!

What can I expect for a follow up?

Follow up visits are approximately 30 minutes long. These visits may occur more frequently towards the beginning of treatment however typically you can expect to have one follow up per month thereafter.

For established clients phone consultations may be substituted for an in office follow up. No additional charge.

What is my health worth? Do you take insurance?

Because the State of Ohio does not recognize nor license the naturopathic profession, Dr. Watts is unable to accept insurance.  Those with Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) may be able to use at our office for naturopathic services; this is dependent on the individual carriers.  Please check the details of your carrier for possible coverage.
