Waiting List Closed
As of December 30, 2024 we are not accepting new patients nor do we have an open waiting list.
We expect to resume this process in 2026.
Thank you for your interest in Naturopathic care with Dr. Watts. At this time we are not accepting new patients and our waiting list for 2025 is now full and closed. We understand this is an inconvenience; there’s a shortage of Naturopathic Doctors in Northwest Ohio and an abundance of patients in need of care.
While Naturopathic Doctors are limited, there are a number of great providers and local resources available that may help as you build your healthcare all-star team. In a sea of resources, websites, and socials, it can be overwhelming to find the perfect “fit”. Here, we’ve done the work for you. We take our referral network seriously and we will accept nothing less: If we would trust them with our family, then we trust them for you.
Whether you find another provider through our referral network or not, we would still like to be of help to you, even if from afar. Here are a few ideas from Dr. Watts to get you started:
- Join our newsletter for office updates but also to receive health tidbits, stories, and connection with Dr. Watts.
- If you have a primary care provider, do check in with them for a yearly screening physical and bloodwork. If you have specific health concerns, be sure to bring those to their attention. If you do not have a primary care physician, it’s a good time to get established with one as they fill a very specific role that Dr. Watts cannot.
- Dr. Watts is a firm believer that the food you eat can either be your best form of medicine or it could be the root cause of your health concerns. Keeping a food journal for even a week can sometimes help you to notice patterns in what you eat and how you feel. Log each meal, in detail, for a week. Log any symptoms that occur throughout the week and the timing of them. Take note of any patterns: perhaps you noticed more fatigue following sugary meals, or more heartburn after a dairy-rich treat. And always, emphasize as many whole foods, foods from the Earth, and foods without a label or package as you can.
- Take note of your environment: we live in a time that’s exponentially more toxic than our ancestors ever experienced. What are you putting onto your body, around your body, and into your body? If you read labels on hygiene products, cleaning products, detergents, and even food, and see ingredients that you can’t pronounce, then there’s a good chance your body won’t recognize those chemicals either. Ditch them and find alternatives; the shorter the ingredient list the better.
- In almost every case that Dr. Watts sees there is a root cause of stress intertwined into it. This is not to say that you need to lead a life that’s stress-free; that’s not likely possible for most! When your mind/body/spirit is under duress, many other aspects of health (sleep, energy, hormone balance, digestion, and neurotransmitter production) will actually be put on the back burner until that stress is dealt with.
Find safety for your mind, for your body, for your spirit, in whatever form that works best for you (life coaching, therapy, meditation, church, Bible study, hobbies, social time with loved ones). If you don’t know what works best, now is a great time to do some exploration. Truly, this is medicine, too!
Hoping that this list gives you some areas to focus on until we can meet in person. Thanks for your interest and we will see you in the future!
